This video is ass I changed my mind it’s good
I have known, loved and trained with the original FISH video (still have my VHS version) for decades. DECADES! How did that globally inspiring video devolve into this terrible presentation? Whoever produced this video called 'Management By Inspiration' ...they need to watch the original FISH video. Watching this, desperately hoping for content that matches my ability to be a motivational trainer...I am very sad. I remember the transfer from vhs to dvd and the terrible change in the score. The sad music was the first sign. But now, in a post pandemic world, where the original FISH VIDEO is more relevant and organic and improvisational, I use and need THAT more than ever. Maybe it was the editor. Maybe it was the crew tossing FISH in the 1990's. But this isn't that.
It is all about fun!!!
Originally the video was simple and good. Complete ruined .No longer relevant.
I still have no idea why my Professor chose this video or what the message even is lol Maybe it's because they wanted to be "world famous" and even after googling "Pike place f-" I still don't see them pop up in my auto-filler lmao.
Is the audio desynched for anyone else?
It is a problem for me. Don’t see many others pointing it out though.
I love going to Seattle
Ah ki
Business owners discover empathy
Amazing. No BS Just straight commitment to people.
hey i need help with marketing questions What was your takeaway in the video? What stood out in the video? what could they have done more efficiently?
"world famous" video from 2015, first time I know about them lol
Hey guys, I'm doing an assignment for principles of retail marketing class, which is as follows: "Name 3 attributes of customer services noted in the video. How could you implement these characteristics in your daily jobs?" Help a sista out and comment!
Clear communication, no stigma, good relationship with employees and customers and a great work environment.
Human potential is largely under appreciated … doing challenging things, sticking to them when no one else is watching, and for the right reasons, over time, generates small miracles.
He bought it for $ 350 ? That's why.
His wife worked there , but I don't see any women in this business
How many women want to work in a fish market, unless it's a family business, they're migrants or they're rough'n'tumble? Same with bricklaying. You can create a million places for females, and they hardly ever come. You could even say that if a female goes "ewww" at the thought of laying tarmac on a road in an arid region, ignore it because it's just cultural baggage and sexism, and make them go out to work 10 hrs a day in the heat laying infrastructure. Then they'll realise they love the job, have ALWAYS loved this type of work, and it's just sexism and cultural indoctrination that was the only thing holding them back from working on dangerous building sites.
Great training video!!!!
Someone pls help me to answer these questions How does Pike Place Fish create an environment for workers to achieve their maximum potential? What role does John Yokoyama play? What roles do socialization and mentoring play in creating and nurturing this atmosphere?
The graphic brings me back to the beginning of this millennium
If you're here for an assignment, here's some notes. Not really anything too technical in the video FYI: • Took business over at twenty five years old ○ Watched every second ○ Tyrant owner ○ Now trusting and gives away power • Power of responsibility ○ You have the choice ○ Most people are victims of the circumstance ○ Choose a conversation § Supporting other in their problems not making the employees the problems § Approaching things differently • Dynamic company with good results ○ Open up individual's creativity ○ Be aligned on the same purpose ○ Let people contribute in their own way • Contest for personal growth and development ○ Coach each other ○ Intention is to empower each other ○ Make sure they can hear the part that is powerful for them • The future is unknown, which people dislike ○ If you're willing to allow for the uncertainty of the future you can notice anything is possible ○ Not a figure it out phenomenon, a feel it out phenomenon • People aren't numbers
Thanks you ;)
Thank you and love you!!!!! :D
Bro you're a legend. This shit looked ancient
you're the realist
can a man get a pixel every now and again, geez
Best fish market eh w/c.
Bought products are some white clams I think
I was shown these guys 7 or 8 years ago in some corporate training. I bought the book and remembered taking notes. My life changed after that, I did not realise why at the time. Things got better and more fun, I found a better job but one day I came across my notes and this video and realised my principals grew from this world-famous fish market. I've just started my own thing on Twitter @livechatguyROI check it out. And thanks Pike Place Fish Market.
0:53 I've never heard a more pleasing sound come from the lips of man
2:40 "gonna... give me that buttcheek for 28,000$"
This is a poor imitation of the original FISH! Check that out and you will see the real thing.
Remember doing this as part of training in shitty hotels. Still shit

When you really love she or he, she or he feels that. You do not need to show or say. You act, same as mother or father. Same as PPFM people. Thanks to Pike Place Fish Market! Thanks to Founder, John. Thanks to Adviser, Jim. Thanks to all Employees!
Should make this video 1080i for better viewing.
Central Florida Reckless Drivers cretin
they obviously love what they do - and this is amazing.thanks for this.
Thanks for this well produced look behind the curtain. I've always wondered about the history of Pike Place Fish Market. We've been working on the craft line at Pike Place for the past four years and it is inspiring to see how hard work can pay off. Thanks for bringing so many people to the Market!
